If you are a 9th class student of any Punjab Board, your exams are already in progress. The Annual Exams 2026 are being conducted across all Punjab Boards according to the official schedule issued by the
Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC). Students are appearing in their papers one by one, and the exam season is now fully active.
Some students have already completed a few papers, while many important exams are still ahead. This time is very important because it sets the base for your academic future in 10th class and higher studies.
Whether you belong to the Science Group, Arts Group, or the Technical (Tech) Group, this phase requires full focus, regular revision, and proper time management.
Official 9th Class Date Sheet 2026 – All Punjab Boards (Unified Schedule)
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has released one single date sheet for class 9th all boards, they are: BISE Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Sahiwal, DG Khan, and Bahawalpur. Morning papers start at 9:00 AM and evening at 2:00 PM (2:30 PM on Fridays).

Understanding the Three Groups in 9th Class 2026 (Science, Arts & Tech)
Punjab Boards have introduced a more easy system this year. Every student must choose one of the following groups right from 9th class:
1. Science Group This is the most popular choice for students of class 9 aiming for medical, engineering, or pure sciences in future. Core subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Computer Science as optional), Mathematics, and the usual compulsory subjects (English, Urdu, Islamiat/Pak Studies). The syllabus is concept-heavy with lots of numericals, diagrams, and experiments.

2. Arts (Humanities) Group Perfect for students who love social sciences, languages, or want to pursue , law, teaching, or commerce later. Subjects include Pakistan Studies, Geography, Civics, Education, History, and optional languages like Punjabi or Arabic. Less numerical pressure but more writing, memorization, and analytical skills.

3. Technical (Tech) Group – Newly Produced & Updated for 2026 This is the fresh addition that many students are excited about. It focuses on practical, job-oriented skills. Subjects include Technical Physics, Technical Chemistry, Computer Hardware, Electrical Wiring, Fashion Designing, Wood Work, Food & Nutrition, and Communication Skills. The Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board has revised the smart syllabus especially for Tech Group students this year, making it more hands-on and industry-relevant.
